Lots of Socks for World Down Syndrome Day
World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD), on the 21st of March, is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012.
On 21st March, we want the children to wear some socks that are going to get noticed! They might be mismatched socks or their craziest and most colourful socks. The idea is to start a conversation, so when people ask about their socks, they can tell them, “I’m wearing them to raise awareness of Down syndrome”.
As well as encouraging the pupils to wear their craziest socks we would massively appreciate donations of £1 to help raise money for a local Down Syndrome Group, Archie’s Smile, which supports families in our community 💛🧡💚
