The Pupil Premium is additional funding received by schools based on the number of children from low income families – this is defined as those eligible for free school meals.

It is important to understand that, even if you choose not to have a school dinner, the pupil premium will benefit the pupil in the school.
In January 2015, we received a letter from the Minister of State for Schools congratulating us on our continued improvement in progress and attainment of disadvantaged pupils since 2011.
The letter stated we were;
highly effective in educating disadvantaged pupils.
The Pupil Premium has been used to support targeted intervention sessions for both individuals and small groups. A small proportion has also been used to subsidise extracurricular opportunities including music tuition and sporting activities.
